How do I join Midway Pool?

There are two options:

1)    One-time seasonal membership – try the pool for one season $350
2)    Become a full voting, stockholder member – pay a one-time $400 fee, plus the yearly dues.  This year dues are $350.

****We are holding a special this season for new members and returning seasonal families: pay the $400 joining fee, plus only ½ of the $350 dues, so you only pay $575 to join this season.****

General Pool Rules 

The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all members. The club manager and lifeguards are authorized to require those violating and rules or regulations to leave the premises.
 
Dues and assessments must be paid by members each season prior to using the facilities of the club. 

Members are required to register for themselves and their guests. All guests must be accompanied by a member at all times. Guests must meet the same requirements as do the pool members. If the member is under the 18 years of age, he/she must have a guest permission slip signed by his/her parent.
 
All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The club will not be responsible for accident or injury in connection with such use. All efforts will be made to insure the safety of all.
 
No children under eleven (11) years of age will be permitted to use the pool facilities unless accompanied by an older, responsible person. Swim tests may be required, at the discretion of the manager, for those eleven (11) years of age or older prior to being allowed to attend the pool unsupervised.
 
Lifeguards shall be on duty during operating hours and shall be at their stations. Members should refrain from distracting them and follow their instructions at all times.

Any person with cuts, blisters, broken bones in casts, or any open wounds should refrain from using the pool until healed.
 
No foreign objects (such as balls, floats, etc.) will be allowed in the pool when the pool staff determines that conditions are too crowded of hazardous for such items.
 
No boisterous or rough play will be allowed at any time. Obey the lifeguards.
 
Spitting, spouting water, blowing the nose, etc. in the pool is strictly prohibited.
 
No chewing or bubble gum is allowed inside the gate of the pool.
 
There shall be no running, pushing, wrestling, or causing undue disturbance or hazard in or about the pool area. The manager and/or lifeguards, in their discretion, shall decide what action constitutes a disturbance or hazard.
 
Only one person at a time shall be on the diving board or diving board latter.

Life jackets, life belts, and other such equipment, are prohibited on persons using the diving board.
 
Divers have priority over swimmers in the diving area. Divers are required to clear the diving area immediately after diving.
 
All injuries should be reported to the pool manager immediately.
 
All swim trunks must be hemmed to avoid clogging the drain and filter.
 
Members and guests in street clothes will not be allowed within five (5) feet of the pool edge.
 
The club will not be responsible for the loss or damage to personal property of any member or guest. Lost items not claimed within seven (7) days will be given or thrown away.
 
No pets are permitted inside the fenced pool area. Service animals are allowed when accompanied by their owners.
 
No glass containers of any kind shall be permitted inside the gate.
 
Consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages or drugs will not be allowed on the club premises.
 
Eating and drinking will be permitted, so long as you are at least five (5) feet from the edge of the pool and you dispose of any wrappers, cans, trash, etc. in the available trash cans.

Please use the phone only when absolutely necessary. The manager or staff will get the phone for you.
 
Pool closing due to inclement weather shall be at the discretion of the pool manager.
 
Summer hours once school is out - The pool will be open from 11:00 am until 8:00pm on Monday-Saturday; and 1:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday. The pool may be closed during regular hours when necessary for maintenance, swim meets, etc. 
 
Posting of any additional rules or changes in the existing rules at the pool will be deemed sufficient notice to all members.
 
The pool will be cleared for 10 to 15 minutes every hour – beginning one (1) hour after opening and ending one (1) hour before closing, except when the manager deems it unnecessary. No one under 16 years of age will be permitted in the pool at this time.
 
No automobile inner tubes will be allowed in the pool at any time.
 
Skate boards are prohibited on pool property at all times.
 
Remember these rules and regulations are made for the enjoyment and safety of each member and their guests. Instruction members of your family and your guests to abide by them will be a great help!
